Follow Spot Entertainment (FSE) is a new entertainment development and production fund anchored by over three decades of industry expertise. Founded by veteran producer John N. Hart Jr. — whose Evamere Entertainment has generated returns for investors across Broadway, Off-Broadway, and independent film for nearly 30 years — FSE represents a first-of-its-kind investment vehicle that consolidates both traditional investor LP returns and the producer GP share into a single, aligned structure. FSE invests in early-stage development across theatre, film, and television, with a focus on projects combining strong intellectual property, franchise potential, and cross-platform appeal.
A Proven Track Record
Hart brings an exceptional and well-documented financial track record to FSE. Over the past decade, 82% of Evamere’s Broadway productions have been classified as “hits” by The Broadway League — a definition requiring full return of investor capital. That figure stands at more than three times the industry average.
Hart’s Broadway productions have collectively received 74 Tony Award® nominations and won more than 35, including six for Best Production. His credits include The Band’s Visit, Once, Chicago, A Bronx Tale, and Just in Time, currently running on Broadway starring Jonathan Groff, with a U.S. national tour spanning over 70 weeks and a West End engagement launching in 2027.
In film, Hart has produced over 20 features achieving an 83% recoupment rate — again outpacing industry norms. Notable credits include Revolutionary, Proof, Boys Don’t Cry, and You Can Count on Me. Collectively, his films have won one Academy Award (7 nominations), 2Golden Globes (10 nominations), and four Independent Spirit Award (16 nominations).
Innovative Investment Structure
Unlike conventional Broadway investment structures, where producers and investors occupy separate economic positions, FSE captures both income streams within the fund. FSE investors receive a return of capital plus a 6% premium before profits are split 70% to investors and 30% to managers. Additionally, any royalties FSE receives as General Partner flow back into the fund, offsetting management fees and creating further upside.
The Team
Hart is joined by Schuyler Linnes, Associate Producer, and Jake Reichenbaum, Fund & Development Manager. Together, the team leverages Evamere’s deep network of relationships across producers, directors, composers, actors, and rights holders to identify and develop projects with strong commercial and franchise potential.
